From album: 2012 has been the year wherein Kraantje Pappie in Holland as well as in Belgium had his breakthrough with his debut album “Crane”. His first mixtape appeared four years earlier, the “Clubvoer Mixtape”, with a sold-out release-party in the Simplon in his hometown Groningen. A year earlier, in 2009 he had already been signed at the hiphop label Noah’s Ark where his second EP “Boulimia” came out which was licensed by Universal, with again a sold-out release-party in the Simplon. After that he had taken his career to the next level: the uncrowned king of Groningen reached the final of the “Grote Prijs” (a big music event in Holland) and next to that he dropped a 101Barz session, that with more than 2,1 million views in the meantime has entered the Hall of Fame. “Crane” has been produced by the world famous producers collective from Groningen: NOISIA. The hit single “Waar is Kraan?” in the meantime has more than 5.5 million views on YouTube and has been played by all music channels in Holland as well as in Belgium in high rotation. Shortly after this first single, he released his second single.

This so after the summer he could once again come out with a new EP: The “Semi-Bekend EP” (again produced by NOISIA). From this EP already two singles came out: the title song and “G.O.S.H (Goud Over Shirt Heen)”. But we can proudly state that Kraan is on his best during the live-shows, of which he did 187 last year. Together with his DJ Nitty Wow & MC Fiddox they not only turned Holland & Belgium upside down but also Lloret de Mar (Spain) and Sunny Beach (Bulgaria) had to witness this. These were locations where Kraan did his summertour for Beachmasters. Moreover, different highlights of the past years have been: Tomorrowland, Hiphop Kemp, Rock Werchter, Paaspop and Lowlands (awarded by “3voor12” with a 8). Without hardly any time to rest, the next tour was on the program: “De Semi-Bekend Tour” that with, Fata and Roberto Tan as supporting acts brought them through Holland and Belgium.
