Well I can assure you I wouldnt post in your topic about 'your mod' if it wasnt your mod. Actually I see where it is that I should've used the win_32. Shader folder AND I noticed that most files are shared w/ EFLC but TLAD has its own timecycl file. So now w/ all that str8nd out AND using the 'Realisty V2 Beta 1' that have on this page. The only issues I've seen are that there appears to be abit too much brightness/contrast. I cycled through diff weather and times.
At night it does get pretty dark but that could be fixt IF I turn up the brightness abit. I have contrast/brightness at *zero* and here are the images I get in the day time on sunny/extra sunny/extra sunny2 etc. You can see how *whited-out* the lights are on vehicles w/ full lense illumination like futo/sentinel etc, just like reverse lights. There doesnt appear to be a problem tho on vehicles that just light up the projector lenses like cavalcade/schafter etc Just another example of over-white/brightness like in this smoke, just that it loox almost like bright puffy clouds from the sky, on the ground.
Hi DKT70, Congratulations on the release! From the screenshots this mod looks awesome! I know how it is to have spend hours and nights trying to figure out ways to add more realism to the environments of GTA4 It takes time and study. The only thing I don't like is your sunsets and sunrise (looking at your screenshots), but the daytime are the closest to reality I have seen yet!
BTW there is a solution to the grain/film noise problem, try edit the skys top/bottom colour to dark values, but then you will allso loose some of the distant-fog which I bet you have used alot of time on. QUOTE The only thing I don't like is your sunsets and sunrise (looking at your screenshots), but the daytime are the closest to reality I have seen yet! Well, it's your opinion, but I've based them off of actual photos of real sunsets, and I like them, personally.
What I don't like on many user's mods are pink skies at night, something I really hate. QUOTE BTW there is a solution to the grain/film noise problem, try edit the skys top/bottom colour to dark values, but then you will allso loose some of the distant-fog which I bet you have used alot of time on There is no noise problem anymore, the problem was Sky Top Color, only, not Bottom Color. It was a pleasure going through TBOGT with this great looking mod! Tryin' TLAD right now, which is a different animal, uses different files to produce it's stylish look, eats more performance and doesn't look quite as good, but it okay, it's supposed to look dull and desaturated anyway. A few things on TBOGT: everything's cool but for my taste sunny weathers have a bit too deep blue skies, lighter-brighter blue would give it a more realistic feeling IMO. What should I change to make the sky brighter than the environment? I absolutely love the mornings dude!
Early evenings sometimes have too much brightness and street lights white out roads as a result, this is for 1-2 minutes overall. The city textures from high sky however are too bright during the night.
The ghosting is there but minimally and it never bothered be. BTW, should I get these kind of reflections, or was ENB turned on when you took this picture? I'd love to add more reflections to cars, windows etc. Anyway, thx for the realistic look again! Thing is, is this TBOGT? I don't have any of the add-ons so I can't really test them, only patch 7 for GTAIV is the newest I can test. For the Sunny Blue Sky, I simply copied what is currently out of my window, due to the intense heat we are getting, here in the UK, the sky is a real deep blue. If want to try to edit it yourself, right-click the timecyc and untick read-only, use a text editor and goto the Sunny Weather, under both 9am and 12pm look for the value 0.610, and try a much lower value like 0.510, it may make the sky a little duller, so adjust upwards to suit your own tastes. When I'm done testing, and out of beta, I'll upload a timecyc that anyone can edit themselves, but for now I'd rather keep it this way so to avoid anyone editing it then blaming me if the edit goes wrong. QUOTE Early evenings sometimes have too much brightness and street lights white out roads as a result, Not a lot I can do about this, the engine sucks when it comes to the street lights, they really ruin it for me.
